Get Knotting.

I tried this method of Davie McPhail's and it was the most relaxing thing I've done all week. Pinch one fibre between your thumb and forefinger, place the hook on the crochet tool facing down onto the fibre, then twist to rotate and make the first loop, at that point the hook will be facing up, then slip forward through the loop you have just made to grab the top of the feather and pull it through. After one feather you can really race along. The hardest part of this is getting consistency in the length of the leg, but it comes with practice.
