From Pig Skin to Aluminium.
The early NZ fly fisher adopted tried and true, old English patterns, many of which are still used today as a first choice for some older anglers. Partridge breast, Mallard wing, Peacock sword and herl were often used in these patterns. Wet flies were very popular as many anglers would fish early morning and evening hatches.

Never Schneider
There's a saying in Austria if you don't catch a fish, you go home "Schneider"...which is a small river fish anyone can catch! Arriving home "Schneider" is considered the lowest point in your fishing career. Used photoshop to create these...cut out bugs using pen tool.
